7 years ago, back in senior high school, we learned Japanese as one of extra subject and it was compulsory. At the moment i was thinking why should i study Japanese? i don't think i will need it in the future. Then i did not take the subject seriously even though i passed it. 6 years later (as university student), i got interested in Japan and i had the chance to go there. Before i went there i took Japanese course and paid the course with my pocket money. Several months later i had interview with Japanese Company and i got rejected because my Japanese Language skill was so limited.
Imagine if 7 years ago i decided to take those Japanese Language subject seriously, 7 years is more than enough to master foreign language!
Sometime we have chance to do or learn new things, but we avoid it because we cannot see the short terms benefit from that. Now i realize everytime i have chance, i should learn because we never know what the future is holding for us and we should have long term vision. No pain, no gain!
